ਸੋਚੈ ਸੋਚਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੇ ਸੋਚੀ ਲਖ ਵਾਰ ॥Sochai soch na hovai je sochi lakh vaar.Even if one bathes hundreds of thousands of times, the mind does not become cleansed.By thinking, He cannot be reduced to thought, even by thinking hundreds of thousands of times.By pondering on God, man cannot have a conception of Him, even though he may ponder over lacs of times.By cleansing, cleanness does not come — though I cleanse a hundred thousand times.Si uno se baña cientos de miles de veces, la mente no está limpia.

ਚੁਪੈ ਚੁਪ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੇ ਲਾਇ ਰਹਾ ਲਿਵ ਤਾਰ ॥Chupai chup na hovai je laae rahaa liv taar.By remaining silent, inner silence is not obtained, even by remaining lovingly absorbed deep within.Even though one be silent and remains absorbed in Lord's constant love he obtains not mind's silence.By keeping silent, silence does not come — though I stay fixed in unbroken absorption.por más que pienses profundamente en Él, la mente no se desprenderá para unirse con Él.

ਸਹਸ ਸਿਆਣਪਾ ਲਖ ਹੋਹਿ ਤ ਇਕ ਨ ਚਲੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥Sehas sianpa lakh hohi ta ik na chalai naal.Hundreds of thousands of clever tricks, but not even one of them will go along with you in the end.Man may possess thousands and lacs of wits, but not even one (goes with him) avails him in the Lord's court.A thousand clevernesses, a hundred thousand — and not one goes with you.Ni siquiera cientos de miles de entrenamientos y preparaciones te llevarán a la Corte del Señor

ਹੁਕਮਿ ਰਜਾਈ ਚਲਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੧॥Hukam rajaai chalna Nanak likhia naal. ||1||O Nanak, it is written that you shall obey the Hukam of His Command, and walk in the Way of His Will. ||1||O Nanak! By obeying, the pre-ordained order of the Lord's will.Walk in hukam, in the Will — Nanak, it is written with you.Oh, dice Nanak, cuando por Su Gracia nuestro Destino es prefecto y vivimos en el Jukam de Su Voluntad, el velo de la ilusión es levantado. ਹੁਕਮੀ ਹੋਵਨਿ ਆਕਾਰ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਕਹਿਆ ਜਾਈ ॥Hukami hovan aakaar hukam na kahia jaai.By His Command, bodies are created; His Command cannot be described.By the Lord's order bodies are produced. His order cannot be narrated.By hukam all forms arise; the hukam itself cannot be told.Por Su Voluntad los cuerpos son creados, Su Mandato no puede ser comprendido.

ਹੁਕਮੀ ਹੋਵਨਿ ਜੀਅ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥Hukami hovan jee hukam milai vadiaai.By His Command, souls come into being; by His Command, glory and greatness are obtained.With His fiat the souls come into being and with His fiat greatness is obtained.By hukam living beings arise; by hukam greatness is received.Por Su Voluntad todas las Almas toman forma y por Su Voluntad la Grandeza es obtenida.

ਹੁਕਮੀ ਉਤਮੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਦੁਖ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ॥Hukami utam neech hukam likh dukh sukh paaiyahi.By His Command, some are high and some are low; by His Written Command, pain and pleasure are obtained.By His command the mortals are make high and low and by His written command they obtain woe and weal.By hukam high and low; by hukam pain and pleasure are written and received.Por Su Voluntad unos están elevados mientras otros andan en niveles bajos.Por Su Voluntad unos conocen una gran Dicha mientras otros sólo experimentan pena y tristeza.

ਇਕਨਾ ਹੁਕਮੀ ਬਖਸੀਸ ਇਕਿ ਹੁਕਮੀ ਸਦਾ ਭਵਾਈਅਹਿ ॥Iknaa hukami bakhsees ik hukami sada bhavaaiyahi.Some, by His Command, are blessed and forgiven; others, by His Command, wander aimlessly forever.Some obtain gifts through His order and some through His order are ever made to wander in transmigration.Some by hukam receive the gift; some by hukam are made to wander forever.Por la Voluntad de Dios algunas Almas son liberadas mientras otras son obligadas a vagar de vida en vida.

ਹੁਕਮੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਹੁਕਮ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥Hukamai andar sabh ko baahar hukam na koi.Everyone is subject to His Command; no one is beyond His Command.All are subject to His fiat and none is exempt from His fiat.All are inside hukam; outside hukam there is no one.Todos los seres viven bajo la Voluntad de Dios; ninguno vive fuera de ella.

ਨਾਨਕ ਹੁਕਮੈ ਜੇ ਬੁਝੈ ਤ ਹਉਮੈ ਕਹੈ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੨॥Nanak hukamai je bujhai ta haumai kahai na koi. ||2||O Nanak, one who understands His Command, does not speak in ego. ||2||O Nanak! if man were to understand Lord's fiat, then no one would take pride (speak in ego).Nanak, if one grasps hukam, then no one speaks of "I".Oh, dice Nanak, quien entiende Su Voluntad, no se aferra a su tonto orgullo. ਗਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਤਾਣੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਕਿਸੈ ਤਾਣੁ ॥Gaavai ko taan hovai kisai taan.Some sing of His Power-who has that Power?Who can sing His might? Who has power to sing it?Someone sings of power — if anyone has the power.¿Quién por sí mismo puede ser grande?

ਗਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਦਾਤਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥Gaavai ko daat jaanai neesaan.Some sing of His Gifts, and know His Sign and Insignia.Who can sing His bounties and know His resplendent effulgence?Someone sings of the gift, and knows it as the sign.¿Quién tiene algo, a menos que venga de Él?

ਗਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਗੁਣ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ਚਾਰ ॥Gaavai ko gun vadiaiya chaar.Some sing of His Glorious Virtues, Greatness and Beauty.Some chant the Lord's beautiful excellences and magnificences.Someone sings of virtues and beautiful greatnesses.¿Quién puede manifestar todas las facetas de Dios? y ¿quién puede brillar con todo su esplendor?

ਗਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਵਿਖਮੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥Gaavai ko vidia vikham veechaar.Some sing of knowledge obtained of Him, through difficult philosophical studies.Who can chant God's Knowledge, whose study is arduous?Someone sings of learning and hard reflection.¿Quién puede manifestar todas las facetas de Dios? y ¿quién puede brillar con todo su esplendor?

ਗਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਸਾਜਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਨੁ ਖੇਹ ॥Gaavai ko saaj kare tan kheh.Some sing that He fashions the body, and then again reduces it to dust.Some sing that He fashions the body and then reduces it to dust.Someone sings that he fashions the body, then makes it ash.Muchos son los que cantan las Alabanzas y las Perfecciones del Señor, pero nadie puede acabar de contarlas todas.

ਗਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਜੀਅ ਲੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੇਹ ॥Gaavai ko jee lai phir deh.Some sing that He takes life away, and then again restores it.Some sing that God takes away life and again restores it.Someone sings that he takes life away and gives it again.Algunos cantan que Él crea la vida, otros cantan que es Él quien la toma de regreso.

ਗਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਜਾਪੈ ਦਿਸੈ ਦੂਰਿ ॥Gaavai ko jaapai disai door.Some sing that He seems so very far away.Some sing that God seems and appears to be far off.Someone sings that he seems and is seen far away.Algunos dicen que Él está muy lejos;

ਗਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਵੇਖੈ ਹਾਦਰਾ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥Gaavai ko vekhai haadra hadoor.Some sing that He watches over us, face to face, ever-present.Some sing that He is beholding us just face to face.Someone sings that he watches, present, face to face.otros dicen que Él está ahí si lo llamas.

ਕਥਨਾ ਕਥੀ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਤੋਟਿ ॥Kathna kathi na aavai tot.There is no shortage of those who preach and teach.There is no dearth of persons who dwell upon the Lord's discourses.Of tellings told there comes no shortage.Incontables son los que meditan en los Discursos del Señor;

ਕਥਿ ਕਥਿ ਕਥੀ ਕੋਟੀ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ॥Kath kath kathi koti kot kot.Millions upon millions offer millions of sermons and stories.Millions give millions upon millions of descriptions and sermons regarding God.Told and told and told — by crores on crores on crores.millones son los que dan un sinfín de descripciones de Él.

ਜੁਗਾ ਜੁਗੰਤਰਿ ਖਾਹੀ ਖਾਹਿ ॥Jugaa jugantar khaahi khaahi.Throughout the ages, consumers consume.All the ages through the partakers partake of His provision.Age upon age they eat and eat.Por generaciones los consumidores consumen,

ਹੁਕਮੀ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਚਲਾਏ ਰਾਹੁ ॥Hukami hukam chalaae raahu.The Commander, by His Command, leads us to walk on the Path.The Commander, by His command, makes man walk on His path.The master of hukam by hukam keeps the road running.Vivimos gracias a Su Bondad, época tras época, cuando por fin, también por el Mandato de Dios, caminamos enfocados hacia Él.

ਨਾਨਕ ਵਿਗਸੈ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ॥੩॥Nanak vigsai veparvaahu. ||3||O Nanak, He blossoms forth, Carefree and Untroubled. ||3||O Nanak! the carefree Master makes merry.Nanak, the carefree one blossoms.Oh, dice Nanak, el Maestro está disfrutando sin preocupación. (3)

ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਨਾਇ ਭਾਖਿਆ ਭਾਉ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥Sacha sahib saach naai bhakhia bhaau apaar.True is the Master, True is His Name-speak it with infinite love.True is the Lord, true His Name and the true have repeated His Name with infinite love.The master is true, true the Name — spoken in love without limit.El Señor es Verdad y Verdad es Su Nombre; las criaturas repiten Su Nombre con Amor infinito.

ਆਖਹਿ ਮੰਗਹਿ ਦੇਹਿ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ॥Aakhahi mangahi dehi dehi daat kare daataar.People beg and pray, ""Give to us, give to us"", and the Great Giver gives His Gifts.People beg and pray, "Give to us, give to us", and the Great Giver gives His Gifts.People pray and beg: "give us alms, give us alms", and the bestower bestows His gifts.They speak, they beg — give, give — and the giver gives the gift.Pedimos continuamente, danos más, oh Dios, danos más, y Dios generosamente da sin cesar.

ਫੇਰਿ ਕਿ ਅਗੈ ਰਖੀਐ ਜਿਤੁ ਦਿਸੈ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ॥Pher ki agai rakhiyai jit disai darbaar.So what offering can we place before Him, by which we might see the Darbaar of His Court?Then, what should be placed before His where-by His court may be seen?Then what is to be placed before him, by which the court is seen?¿Qué podemos ofrecerle para ver Su Reino?

ਮੁਹੌ ਕਿ ਬੋਲਣੁ ਬੋਲੀਐ ਜਿਤੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਧਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥Muhau ki bolan boliyai jit sun dhare piaar.What words can we speak to evoke His Love?Which words should we utter with our mouths by hearing which, He may begin to bear us love?What speech is to be spoken from the mouth, hearing which he holds love?¿Qué palabras puede uno pronunciar para ganar Su Amor?

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲਾ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਉ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥Amrit vela sach naau vadiaai veechaar.In the Amrit Vaylaa, the ambrosial hours before dawn, chant the True Name, and contemplate His Glorious Greatness.Early in the morning utter the True Name and reflect upon God's greatness.In the amrit hour — the true Name, reflection on greatness.En el Amrit Vela, las horas fragantes del amanecer, medita en El Nombre y en la Grandeza de Dios.

ਕਰਮੀ ਆਵੈ ਕਪੜਾ ਨਦਰੀ ਮੋਖੁ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥Karmi aavai kaprraa nadari mokh duaar.By the karma of past actions, the robe of this physical body is obtained. By His Grace, the Gate of Liberation is found.By Good actions the physical robe is obtained and by the Lord's benediction the gate of salvation.By action the cloth comes; by the glance, the door of release.Por el Karma de las acciones pasadas hemos llegado a tener este bello nacimiento humano; pero es solamente por Su Gracia que obtendremos la Salvación.

ਨਾਨਕ ਏਵੈ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਸਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਸਚਿਆਰੁ ॥੪॥Nanak evai jaaniyai sabh aape sachiaar. ||4||O Nanak, know this well: the True One Himself is All. ||4||Know thus, O Nanak! that the True One is all by Himself.Nanak, know it so: the true one himself is all.Sólo hace falta saber, oh, dice Nanak, que Dios, por ser la Verdad, es Todo en todo. ਥਾਪਿਆ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਕੀਤਾ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥Thaapia na jaae kita na hoi.He cannot be established, He cannot be created.He is neither established nor created by any one.He cannot be set in place, cannot be made.Dios no puede ser definido, no puede ser creado;

ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸੋਇ ॥Aape aap niranjan soi.He Himself is Immaculate and Pure.That Pure One is all in all Himself.He is his own self — the unstained one.Él en Sí Mismo es Inmaculado y Puro

ਜਿਨਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਾਨੁ ॥Jin sevia tin paaia maan.Those who serve Him are honored.They who serve Him, obtain honour.Whoever has served has gained honor.Los que Lo sirven son honrados

ਗਾਵੀਐ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਮਨਿ ਰਖੀਐ ਭਾਉ ॥Gaaviyai suniyai man rakhiyai bhaau.Sing, and listen, and let your mind be filled with love.With the Lord's love reposed in thy heart sing and hear His praises.Sing, listen, and hold love in the mind.y guarda la Reverencia Amorosa hacia Él en tu corazón.

ਦੁਖੁ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਘਰਿ ਲੈ ਜਾਇ ॥Dukh parhar sukh ghar lai jaae.Your pain shall be sent far away, and peace shall come to your home.Thus shalt thou shed pain and shalt take happiness to thy home.Shedding pain, one carries pleasure home.Así vendrá el alivio de la pena, y la Paz florecerá en tu interior.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਦੰ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵੇਦੰ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਈ ॥Gurmukh naadang gurmukh vedang gurmukh rahia samaai.The Guru's Word is the Sound-current of the Naad; the Guru's Word is the Wisdom of the Vedas; the Guru's Word is all-pervading.Gurbani is the Divine Word, Gurbani the Lord's Knowledge and through Gurbani the Lord is realised to be all pervading.Through the Guru the sound, through the Guru the Veda, through the Guru he remains pervading.Palabra del Guru es la Corriente de Sonido del Naad. ਜੇ ਹਉ ਜਾਣਾ ਆਖਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਥਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥Je hau jaana aakhaa naahi kahna kathan na jaai.Even knowing God, I cannot describe Him; He cannot be described in words.Even though I Know God, I cannot narrate Him, He cannot be described by words.If I knew, I would still not say it — the telling cannot be told.¡No hay palabras para describir el Estado de aquél que realiza la Conciencia de Dios!

ਗੁਰਾ ਇਕ ਦੇਹਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥Gura ik dehi bujhaai.The Guru has given me this one understanding:The Guru has explained one thing to me.Guru — give me this one understanding:El Guru me ha enseñado esto,

ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਇਕੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਸੋ ਮੈ ਵਿਸਰਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੫॥Sabhna jeea ka ik daata so mai visar na jaai. ||5||there is only the One, the Giver of all souls. May I never forget Him! ||5||There is but one Bestower for all the beings May, I never forget Him.There is one giver of all beings — may I not forget him.hay sólo un Dios Dador de todas las Almas. ¡Que nunca lo olvide a Él! (5)

ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਵਾ ਜੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵਾ ਵਿਣੁ ਭਾਣੇ ਕਿ ਨਾਇ ਕਰੀ ॥Tirath naava je tis bhaava vin bhaane ki naae kari.If I am pleasing to Him, then that is my pilgrimage and cleansing bath. Without pleasing Him, what good are ritual cleansings?If I become pleasing to Him that is my pilgrimage bath. Without pleasing Him of what avail is the ablution?I would bathe at the pilgrim-place if I pleased him — without pleasing him, what would bathing do?Si complaciera al Señor, ese sería mi baño de peregrinaje. Sin complacerlo, ¿de qué valen todos los baños en los lugares Santos?

ਜੇਤੀ ਸਿਰਠਿ ਉਪਾਈ ਵੇਖਾ ਵਿਣੁ ਕਰਮਾ ਕਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਲਈ ॥Jeti sirath upaai vekha vin karma ki milai layi.I gaze upon all the created beings: without the karma of good actions, what are they given to receive?All the created beings, that I behold, without good acts what are they given and what do they obtain?As much of creation as I see — without action, what comes, what is taken?Su creación la veo esparcida a mi derredor; nada existe fuera de ella.

ਮਤਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਰਤਨ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਮਾਣਿਕ ਜੇ ਇਕ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਿਖ ਸੁਣੀ ॥Mat vich ratan javahar maanik je ik gur ki sikh suni.Within the mind are gems, jewels and rubies, if you listen to the Guru's Teachings, even once.In the mind are gems, jewels and rubies, provided thou you act upon (hearken to) even one instruction of the Guru.In the intellect are gems, jewels, rubies — if the Guru's one teaching is heard.Las verdaderas gemas, las joyas, los rubíes, son estados de la mente que son revelados cuando el corazón se abre para recibir Su Instrucción

ਜੇ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਆਰਜਾ ਹੋਰ ਦਸੂਣੀ ਹੋਇ ॥Je jug chaare aarja hor dasooni hoi.Even if you could live throughout the four ages, or even ten times more,Though a man's age be equal to four ages and grow even ten times more,If life stretched through the four ages, and ten times more,El hombre podría vivir por cuatro épocas o por cientos de épocas más.

ਨਵਾ ਖੰਡਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਨਾਲਿ ਚਲੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥Nava khanda vich jaaniyai naal chalai sabh koi.and even if you were known throughout the nine continents and followed by all,Even though he be known in the nine continents and all were to walk with him (or follow in his train),known through the nine regions, with everyone going with you,Podría ser famoso, seguido, honrado y buscado por todos,

ਚੰਗਾ ਨਾਉ ਰਖਾਇ ਕੈ ਜਸੁ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਜਗਿ ਲੇਇ ॥Changa naau rakhaai kai jas kirat jag lei.with a good name and reputation, with praise and fame throughout the world-and he were to assume good name and obtain praise and renown in the world.with a good name established, taking praise and fame in the world —Podría ser famoso, seguido, honrado y buscado por todos,

ਜੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਤ ਵਾਤ ਨ ਪੁਛੈ ਕੇ ॥Je tis nadar na aavai ta vaat na puchhai ke.still, if the Lord does not bless you with His Glance of Grace, then who cares? What is the use?If God's gracious glance falls not one him, them, no one would care for him,if you do not come into his glance, then no one asks after you.pero si él cayera de Su Gracia,

ਕੀਟਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਕੀਟੁ ਕਰਿ ਦੋਸੀ ਦੋਸੁ ਧਰੇ ॥Keeta andar keet kar dosi dos dhare.Among worms, you would be considered a lowly worm, and even contemptible sinners would hold you in contempt.he is accounted a vermin amongst worms and even the sinners impute accusations to him.Made a worm among worms, and fault is laid on the faulty.se volvería un gusano entre gusanos y aun el peor desgraciado lo vería con desprecio.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਰਗੁਣਿ ਗੁਣੁ ਕਰੇ ਗੁਣਵੰਤਿਆ ਗੁਣੁ ਦੇ ॥Nanak nirgun gun kare gunvantia gun de.O Nanak, God blesses the unworthy with virtue, and bestows virtue on the virtuous.O Nanak! God grants virtue to the non-virtuous and bestows piety on the pious.Nanak, he puts virtue in the virtueless and gives virtue to the virtuous.Oh, dice Nanak, Dios otorga la Virtud al que no la tiene; Él brinda Piedad al Devoto.

ਤੇਹਾ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸੁਝਈ ਜਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਣੁ ਕੋਇ ਕਰੇ ॥੭॥Tehaa koi na sujhai ji tis gun koi kare. ||7||No one can even imagine anyone who can bestow virtue upon Him. ||7||I can think of no such one who can show any goodness unto Him.No one comes to mind who could give virtue to him.Nosotros no podemos darle nada a Él. ਸੁਣਿਐ ਧਰਤਿ ਧਵਲ ਆਕਾਸ ॥Suniyai dharat dhaval aakaas.Listening-the earth, its support and the Akaashic ethers.By hearing God's Name the reality of the earth, it's supposed supporting bull and the heaven is revealed unto the mortal.By hearing — the earth, the bull, the skies.La tierra y el toro que la soporta son revelados; y los cielos también son vistos.

ਸੁਣਿਐ ਦੀਪ ਲੋਅ ਪਾਤਾਲ ॥Suniyai deep loa paataal.Listening-the oceans, the lands of the world and the nether regions of the underworld.By hearkening to the Lord's Name man comes to have the knowledge of the continents, the worlds and the nether regions.By hearing — the continents, the worlds, the underworlds.Escuchando el Nombre de Dios, el hombre viene a conocer los continentes, los mundos y las regiones inferiores.

ਸੁਣਿਐ ਪੋਹਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਕਾਲੁ ॥Suniyai pohi na sakai kaal.Listening-Death cannot even touch you.By hearing the Lord's Name death cannot torment (touch) the mortal.By hearing, death cannot touch.Al escuchar el Nombre de Dios, el hombre se libera del tormento de la muerte.

ਜੇ ਕੋ ਕਹੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਪਛੁਤਾਇ ॥Je ko kahai pichhai pachhutaai.One who tries to describe this shall regret the attempt.If someone tries to describe he repents afterwards.If anyone tells it, he regrets it after.Si alguien tratara de Definirlo, se arrepentiría.

ਕਾਗਦਿ ਕਲਮ ਨ ਲਿਖਣਹਾਰੁ ॥Kaagad kalam na likhanhaar.No paper, no pen, no scribeThere is no paper, pen, and scribe,With pen on paper — there is no writer of it.Ni papel, ni pluma, ni escritor,

ਮੰਨੇ ਕਾ ਬਹਿ ਕਰਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥Mannai ka beh karan veechaar.can record the state of the faithful.with whom to sit and write over (reflect) the state of God's obeyer.They sit together and reflect on the one who believes.son capaces de describir el Estado mental de un Fiel.

ਐਸਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਹੋਇ ॥Aisa naam niranjan hoi.Such is the Name of the Immaculate Lord.Such is the Name of the immaculate Lord.Such is the Name, unstained.Tal es Nombre del Inmaculado Señor,

ਜੇ ਕੋ ਮੰਨਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਮਨਿ ਕੋਇ ॥੧੨॥Je ko mann jaanai man koi. ||12||Only one who has faith comes to know such a state of mind. ||12||if some one obeys God, such a solitary being understands the bliss there of in his very mind.if anyone, believing, knows it in the mind.sólo quien tiene Fe alcanza este estado. ਮੰਨੈ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਮਨਿ ਬੁਧਿ ॥Mannai surat hovai man budh.The faithful have intuitive awareness and intelligence.By truly believing in the Lord's Name Divine comprehension enters man's mind and understanding.By believing, awareness and insight come to the mind.Quien practica el Nombre con una Fe sincera, adquiere la Intuición del Conocimiento Divino y desarrolla su inteligencia.

ਮੰਨੈ ਸਗਲ ਭਵਣ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ॥Mannai sagal bhavan ki sudh.The faithful know about all worlds and realms.By truly believing in God's Name the Knowledge of all the spheres is acquired.By believing — knowing of all the worlds.El Fiel conoce todos los mundos y los ámbitos.

ਮੰਨੈ ਮੁਹਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਨਾ ਖਾਇ ॥Mannai muhi chota naa khaae.The faithful shall never be struck across the face.The worshipper of God suffers not blows on his face.By believing, one takes no blows to the face.No hay nadie que lo pueda desgraciar,

ਮੰਨੈ ਜਮ ਕੈ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥Mannai jam kai saath na jaae.The faithful do not have to go with the Messenger of Death.Through inner belief in the Lord's Name man goes not with death's minister.By believing, one does not go with Yam.ni nadie que lo pueda traer ante la cara de la muerte.

ਐਸਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਹੋਇ ॥Aisa naam niranjan hoi.Such is the Name of the Immaculate Lord.Such is the stainless Name of God.Such is the Name, unstained.Tal es Nombre del Inmaculado Señor,

ਮੰਨੈ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਠਾਕ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥Mannai maarag thaak na paae.The path of the faithful shall never be blocked.The believer in God's Name meets not obstruction in the way.By believing, no block is met on the path.El camino de aquél que practica el Nombre no tiene obstáculos;

ਮੰਨੈ ਪਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਜਾਇ ॥Mannai pat sio pargat jaae.The faithful shall depart with honor and fame.The Name's believer departs with honour and renown.By believing, one leaves openly, with honor.ese Devoto parte de esta tierra con honor y reconocimiento.

ਮੰਨੈ ਮਗੁ ਨ ਚਲੈ ਪੰਥੁ ॥Mannai mag na chalai panth.The faithful do not follow empty religious rituals.The Name's believer walks not on the ritualistic religious paths.By believing, one does not walk the byways and the sects.No se pierde en los asuntos terrenales, ni tampoco en los ritos sin sentido.

ਮੰਨੈ ਧਰਮ ਸੇਤੀ ਸਨਬੰਧੁ ॥Mannai dharam seti san bandh.The faithful are firmly bound to the Dharma.The believer in God's Name has an alliance with righteousness.By believing, one is bound to dharam.El que practica el Nombre de Dios es sincero en realizar su Dharma.

ਐਸਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਹੋਇ ॥Aisa naam niranjan hoi.Such is the Name of the Immaculate Lord.Such is the stainless Name of God.Such is the Name, unstained.Tal es Nombre del Inmaculado Señor,

ਮੰਨੈ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮੋਖੁ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥Mannai paavahi mokh duaar.The faithful find the Door of Liberation.The obeyer of the Lord's dictates obtains the door of salvation.By believing, they find the door of release.Los fieles hallan la puerta hacia la liberación.

ਮੰਨੈ ਪਰਵਾਰੈ ਸਾਧਾਰੁ ॥Mannai parvaarai saadhaar.The faithful uplift and redeem their family and relations.The obeyer of the Lord's dictates reforms his kith and kin.By believing, the family is given support.Los fieles levantan y redimen a sus familiares y allegados.

ਮੰਨੈ ਤਰੈ ਤਾਰੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਿਖ ॥Mannai tarai taare gur sikh.The faithful are saved, and carried across with the Sikhs of the Guru.The obeyer of the Lord's fiat saves himself and saves the Sikhs of the Guru.By believing, one crosses over and carries the Guru's sikhs across.Los fieles son salvos, y sobrellevados con los Sikhs del Guru.

ਮੰਨੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਵਹਿ ਨ ਭਿਖ ॥Mannai Nanak bhavahi na bhikh.The faithful, O Nanak, do not wander around begging.The obeyer of the Lord's fiat goes not begging.By believing, Nanak, they do not wander begging.Los fieles, Oh Nanak, no deambulan mendigando.

ਪੰਚ ਪਰਵਾਣ ਪੰਚ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ ॥Panch parvaan panch pardhaan.The chosen ones, the self-elect, are accepted and approved.The elect are acceptable and the elect supreme.The panch are accepted; the panch are foremost.Los elegidos son aprobados,

ਪੰਚੇ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਮਾਨੁ ॥Panche paavahi dargahi maan.The chosen ones are honored in the Court of the Lord.The saints obtain honour in the Lord's Court.The panch gain honor in the court.respetados y honrados en la Corte del Señor

ਪੰਚੇ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਦਰਿ ਰਾਜਾਨੁ ॥Panche sohahi dar raajaan.The chosen ones look beautiful in the courts of kings.God's slaves look beauteous in the Court of kings.The panch shine at the king's door.Los elegidos se ven bellos en la corte de los reyes.

ਪੰਚਾ ਕਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥Pancha ka gur ek dhian.The chosen ones meditate single-mindedly on the Guru.The chosen center their attention on the Guru alone.The panch's meditation is on the one Guru.En medio de honores mundanos, fijan su mente sólo en el Guru.

ਜੇ ਕੋ ਕਹੈ ਕਰੈ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥Je ko kahai karai veechaar.No matter how much anyone tries to explain and describe them,No matter how much someone may narrate and reflect,If someone speaks of it, reflects on it —No importa qué tanto uno trate de describirlas,

ਕਰਤੇ ਕੈ ਕਰਣੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੁਮਾਰੁ ॥Karte kai karnai naahi sumaar.the actions of the Creator cannot be counted.But there can be no enumeration of the Creator's doing.the doings of the creator have no count.las acciones del Creador no pueden contarse.

ਧੌਲੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਦਇਆ ਕਾ ਪੂਤੁ ॥Dhaul dharam daiya ka poot.The mythical bull is Dharma, the son of compassion;The mythical bull is piety, the offspring of compassion, which is patiently holding the earth in order.The bull is dharam, the son of compassion,El mitológico toro que pacientemente mantiene al mundo es Dharma, la rectitud, nacida de la compasión.

ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਥਾਪਿ ਰਖਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਸੂਤਿ ॥Santokh thaap rakhia jin soot.this is what patiently holds the earth in its place.the offspring of compassion, which is patiently holding the earth in order.who set contentment in place, held on the thread.De no ser así, ¿cómo tendría la fuerza para soportar el mundo en su espalda?

ਜੇ ਕੋ ਬੁਝੈ ਹੋਵੈ ਸਚਿਆਰੁ ॥Je ko bujhai hovai sachiaar.One who understands this becomes truthful.If some one understands this, he becomes a true man:If anyone grasps this, he becomes true.¡El que entiende esto se vuelve Verdadero!

ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਲਖ ਦਰੀਆਉ ॥Tis te hoye lakh dariaau.Hundreds of thousands of rivers began to flow.and where by lacs of rivers began to flow.From that came a hundred thousand rivers.millones de ríos de vida florecieron.

ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਵਣ ਕਹਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥Kudrat kavan kahaa veechaar.How can Your Creative Potency be described?What power have I to describe (Thee or Thine doctrines)?What power have I to speak the reflection?No tengo poder para describir Tu Grandeza, oh Señor.

ਅਸੰਖ ਪੂਜਾ ਅਸੰਖ ਤਪ ਤਾਉ ॥Asankh pooja asankh tap taau.Countless worship services, countless austere disciplines.Countless are Thine worships and countless they who practise penance.Countless worships, countless burning austerities.Incontables las religiones y las maneras de alabar.

ਅਸੰਖ ਗਰੰਥ ਮੁਖਿ ਵੇਦ ਪਾਠ ॥Asankh granth mukh ved paath.Countless scriptures, and ritual recitations of the Vedas.Countless are the scriptures and extempore reciters of Vedas.Countless books, and recitations of the Veda by mouth.Incontables escrituras y recitaciones de los Vedas.

ਅਸੰਖ ਜੋਗ ਮਨਿ ਰਹਹਿ ਉਦਾਸ ॥Asankh jog man rahahi udaas.Countless Yogis, whose minds remain detached from the world.Countless are the yogis who remain detached (in mind) from the world.Countless yogis, staying detached in mind.Incontables Yoghis, los cuales se mantienen alejados del mundo.

ਅਸੰਖ ਭਗਤ ਗੁਣ ਗਿਆਨ ਵੀਚਾਰ ॥Asankh bhagat gun gian veechaar.Countless devotees contemplate the Wisdom and Virtues of the Lord.Countless are the votaries who reflect over the Lord's excellences and theology.Countless devoted ones, reflecting on virtues and knowledge.Incontables lo siguen y contemplan las sabidurías y Virtudes del Señor.

ਅਸੰਖ ਸਤੀ ਅਸੰਖ ਦਾਤਾਰ ॥Asankh sati asankh daataar.Countless the holy, countless the givers.Countless are the men of piety and countless the men of bounty.Countless the truthful, countless the givers.Incontables los sabios contemplando la Sabiduría y la Virtud.

ਅਸੰਖ ਸੂਰ ਮੁਹ ਭਖ ਸਾਰ ॥Asankh soor muh bhakh saar.Countless heroic spiritual warriors, who bear the brunt of the attack in battle (who with their mouths eat steel).Countless are the warriors who eat steel with their mouth (bear the brunt on their face).Countless warriors who take steel in the face.Incontables son los hombres piadosos y serenos;

ਅਸੰਖ ਮੋਨਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ਤਾਰ ॥Asankh mon liv laai taar.Countless silent sages, vibrating the String of His Love.Countless are the silent sages who center their love and attention on the Lord.Countless silent ones, fixed in unbroken absorption.Incontables los mártires y los héroes, conquistadores de su ser.

ਅਸੰਖ ਚੋਰ ਹਰਾਮਖੋਰ ॥Asankh chor haraamkhor.Countless thieves and embezzlers.Numberless are the thieves and the devourers of other's property.Countless thieves, living off what is forbidden.Incontables los irrespetuosos y ladrones.

ਅਸੰਖ ਅਮਰ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਜੋਰ ॥Asankh amar kar jaahi jor.Countless impose their will by force.Numberless depart after establishing their sovereignty by force.Countless who give orders by force, then go.Incontables los políticos que imponen su voluntad por la fuerza;

ਅਸੰਖ ਗਲਵਢ ਹਤਿਆ ਕਮਾਹਿ ॥Asankh galvadh hatia kamaahi.Countless cut-throats and ruthless killers.Numberless are those who cut throats and commit murders.Countless cut-throats, working murder.Incontables los asesinos que derraman sangre inocente.

ਅਸੰਖ ਪਾਪੀ ਪਾਪੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥Asankh paapi paap kar jaahi.Countless sinners who keep on sinning.Numberless are the sinners who go on committing sins.Countless sinners who commit sin and go.Incontables los necios empeñados en hacer el mal;

ਅਸੰਖ ਕੂੜਿਆਰ ਕੂੜੇ ਫਿਰਾਹਿ ॥Asankh koorhiaar koorhe phiraahi.Countless liars, wandering lost in their lies.Numberless are the liars who wander in falsehood.Countless false ones, wandering in the false.Incontables los mentirosos que viven en la falsedad,

ਅਸੰਖ ਮਲੇਛ ਮਲੁ ਭਖਿ ਖਾਹਿ ॥Asankh malechh mal bhakh khaahi.Countless wretches, eating filth as their ration.Numberless are the dirty-wretch who partake filth as their ration.Countless filthy ones, eating filth for food.Incontables los calumniadores, agobiados por su envidia;

ਅਸੰਖ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਸਿਰਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਭਾਰੁ ॥Asankh nindak sir karahi bhaar.Countless slanderers, carrying the weight of their stupid mistakes on their heads.Numberless are the slanderers who carry on their heads loads of sins.Countless slanderers, loading their own heads.Incontables son los desgraciados que como ración comen inmundicia.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਕਹੈ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥Nanak neech kahai veechaar.Nanak describes the state of the lowly.Nanak, the lowly, gives description.Nanak the low speaks the reflection.Nanak describe el estado del desdichado, oh Señor;

ਅਗੰਮ ਅਗੰਮ ਅਸੰਖ ਲੋਅ ॥Agamm agamm asankh loa.Inaccessible, unapproachable, countless celestial realms.Innumerable are Thine realms, inaccessible and inscrutable.Beyond reach, beyond reach — countless worlds.Incontables las esferas y los mundos,

ਅਸੰਖ ਕਹਹਿ ਸਿਰਿ ਭਾਰੁ ਹੋਇ ॥Asankh kahahi sir bhaar hoi.Even to call them countless is to carry the weight on your head.Even to call them myriad amounts to carrying load of sin on the head.To say 'countless' is itself a load on the head.¡Oh, tantos que nunca habría manera de contar!

ਅਖਰੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਖਰੀ ਸਾਲਾਹ ॥Akhri naam akhri saalaah.From the Word, comes the Naam; from the Word, comes Your Praise.Through words Thy Name is uttered and through words Thou art praised.By letters the Name, by letters the praise.Tu Nombre se ha formado de la Letra de Tu Palabra.

ਅਖਰੀ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਗੀਤ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਹ ॥Akhri gian geet gun gaah.From the Word, comes spiritual wisdom, singing the Songs of Your Glory.Through words the songs of Thy theology and Thine attributes are hymned.By letters knowledge, songs, the fathoming of virtues.Con palabras Te nombramos, Te alabamos Con palabras relatamos todo conocimiento, toda Alabanza y canción.

ਅਖਰੀ ਲਿਖਣੁ ਬੋਲਣੁ ਬਾਣਿ ॥Akhri likhan bolan baan.From the Word, come the written and spoken words and hymns.In letters the uttered hymns are recorded.By letters writing, speaking, speech.Con palabras hablamos y escribimos diario de Ti,

ਅਖਰਾ ਸਿਰਿ ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ਵਖਾਣਿ ॥Akhra sir sanjog vakhaan.From the Word, comes destiny, written on one's forehead.Destiny is described with letters on Mortal's brow.By letters the joining written on the head is told.con palabras leemos en la frente el Destino del hombre.

ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹਿ ਲਿਖੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥Jin eh likhe tis sir naahi.But the One who wrote these Words of Destiny-no words are written on His Forehead.But He (God) who scribed these destinies has no scribes on his head (His head bears it not).He who wrote these — on his own head there is none.Las palabras vienen de Ti, pero Tú no estás determinado por ellas; solamente nosotros estamos sujetos a Ti.

ਜਿਵ ਫੁਰਮਾਏ ਤਿਵ ਤਿਵ ਪਾਹਿ ॥Jiv furmaae tiv tiv paahi.As He ordains, so do we receive.As He ordains, so do men obtain.As he decrees, so and so they receive.El ordena y nosotros recibimos.

ਜੇਤਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇਤਾ ਨਾਉ ॥Jeta keeta teta naau.The created universe is the manifestation of Your Name.As great is thy creation, so great is Thine celebrity.However much is made, that much is the Name.La creación entera atestigua Tu Magnitud.

ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਥਾਉ ॥Vin naavai naahi ko thaau.Without Your Name, there is no place at all.Without Thy Name, there is no place.Without the Name there is no place at all.Sin su nombre, no tenemos nada.

ਭਰੀਐ ਹਥੁ ਪੈਰੁ ਤਨੁ ਦੇਹ ॥Bharyiai hath pair tan deh.When the hands and the feet and the body are dirty,The dust of the besmeared hands, feet and other parts of the body,When hands, feet, the body are dirtied,Cuando las manos y el cuerpo están sucios,

ਪਾਣੀ ਧੋਤੈ ਉਤਰਸੁ ਖੇਹ ॥Paani dhotai utras kheh.water can wash away the dirt.is removed by washing with water.washing with water takes the dust off.el agua los puede limpiar.

ਮੂਤ ਪਲੀਤੀ ਕਪੜੁ ਹੋਇ ॥Moot paleeti kaprr hoi.When the clothes are soiled and stained by urine,The garment polluted with urine,When the cloth is fouled with urine,Cuando la ropa está enlodada y cubierta de tierra,

ਦੇ ਸਾਬੂਣੁ ਲਈਐ ਓਹੁ ਧੋਇ ॥De saaboon laeeyai oh dhoi.soap can wash them clean.is washed clean by applying soap.soap is put to it and it is washed out.el jabón quita la mancha.

ਭਰੀਐ ਮਤਿ ਪਾਪਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥Bharyiai mat paapa kai sang.But when the intellect is stained and polluted by sin,The soul defiled with sins,When the intellect is dirtied in the company of sins,Pero si la mente no brilla debido al error y la vergüenza,

ਓਹੁ ਧੋਪੈ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥Oh dhopai naavai kai rang.it can only be cleansed by the Love of the Name.is cleaned with the love of God's Name.it is washed in the color of the Name.solamente será regenerada por el Amor al Nombre.

ਪੁੰਨੀ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਖਣੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥Punni paapi aakhan naahi.Virtue and vice do not come by mere words;By mere words of mouth (statements) a man becomes not virtuous or vicious.'Virtuous' and 'sinner' are not mere saying.Si el hombre es atraído por la Virtud o el vicio,

ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਣਾ ਲਿਖਿ ਲੈ ਜਾਹੁ ॥Kar kar karna likh lai jaahu.actions repeated, over and over again, are engraved on the soul.The often repeated actions are engraved on the heart.Doing and doing the deeds — written down, you carry them as you go.tiene que entender que eso mismo atrae para sí.

ਆਪੇ ਬੀਜਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਖਾਹੁ ॥Aape beej aape hi khaahu.You shall harvest what you plant.Man himself sows and himself reaps (he reaps what he sows).You yourself sow it; you yourself eat it.Como siembras, cosecharás;

ਨਾਨਕ ਹੁਕਮੀ ਆਵਹੁ ਜਾਹੁ ॥੨੦॥Nanak hukami aavhu jaahu. ||20||O Nanak, by the Hukam of God's Command, we come and go in reincarnation. ||20||By God's Order, O Nanak! man comes and goes.Nanak, by hukam you come and go.oh, dice Nanak, por el Jukam de Su Mandato, reencarnamos, yendo y viniendo. (20)

ਤੀਰਥੁ ਤਪੁ ਦਇਆ ਦਤੁ ਦਾਨੁ ॥Tirath tap daiya dat daan.Pilgrimages, austere discipline, compassion and charityPilgrimage, penance, compassion and alms giving,Pilgrim-place, austerity, compassion, alms and giving —haciendo peregrinajes y austeridades, siendo piadoso o dando caridades a otros,

ਜੇ ਕੋ ਪਾਵੈ ਤਿਲ ਕਾ ਮਾਨੁ ॥Je ko paavai til ka maan.these, by themselves, bring only an iota of merit.bring only a sesame (tiny amount) of honour (merit), if any.if anyone gains by them, it is honor the size of a sesame seed.todo esto por su cuenta, trae poco merito.

ਸੁਣਿਆ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਕੀਤਾ ਭਾਉ ॥Suniya manniya man keeta bhaau.Listening and believing with love and humility in your mind,Whoever heartily hears, believes and loves God's Name,Heard, believed, love made in the mind —Lo que importa es bañarse en la Sagrada Fuente interior, amando, oyendo y recitando el Nombre.

ਅੰਤਰਗਤਿ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਮਲਿ ਨਾਉ ॥Antargat tirath mal naau.cleanse yourself with the Name, at the sacred shrine deep within.obtains salvation by thoroughly bathing in the shrine within himself.that is a scrubbing bath at the pilgrim-place within.Sin esta purificación de pensamientos y acciones, uno no puede volverse Devoto a Su Servicio.

ਸਭਿ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥Sabh gun tere mai naahi koi.All virtues are Yours, Lord, I have none at all.All virtues are Thine, O Lord! I have none.All virtues are yours; in me there is none.¡Oh Señor todas las Virtudes son Tuyas!;

ਵਿਣੁ ਗੁਣ ਕੀਤੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥Vin gun keete bhagat na hoi.Without virtue, there is no devotional worship.Without acquiring the virtues, Lord's devotional service can not be performed.Without virtues being made, devotion does not happen.Sin virtud, no hay adoración devota.

ਸੁਅਸਤਿ ਆਥਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਰਮਾਉ ॥Suasat aath baani barmaau.I bow to the Lord of the World, to His Word, to Brahma the Creator.My obeisance is unto God, who Himself is the creator of world and Brahma etc.Hail — wealth, speech, Brahma.Oh, dice Nanak, aquél que piensa que es muy grande, será hecho muy pequeño en el Reino de Dios. (21)

ਸਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਣੁ ਸਦਾ ਮਨਿ ਚਾਉ ॥Sat suhaan sada man chaau.He is Beautiful, True and Eternally Joyful.He is true and beautiful and rapture ever abides within His mind.True, beautiful — forever a delight in the mind.Ilimitados son los mundos de abajo e ilimitados son los mundos de arriba,

ਕਵਣੁ ਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਵਖਤੁ ਕਵਣੁ ਕਵਣ ਥਿਤਿ ਕਵਣੁ ਵਾਰੁ ॥Kavan so vela vakhat kavan kavan thit kavan vaar.What was that time, and what was that moment? ਕਵਣਿ ਸਿ ਰੁਤੀ ਮਾਹੁ ਕਵਣੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਹੋਆ ਆਕਾਰੁ ॥Kavan so ruti maahu kavan jit hoa aakaar.What was that season, and what was that month, when the Universe was created?and what the season and what month, when the creation came into being?what the season, what the month, when the form came to be?Los Vedas hablan de los dieciocho mil mundos, pero todos ellos forman parte de la misma Unidad.

ਵੇਲ ਨ ਪਾਈਆ ਪੰਡਤੀ ਜਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਲੇਖੁ ਪੁਰਾਣੁ ॥Vel na paaiya panditi je hovai lekh puraan.The Pandits, the religious scholars, cannot find that time, even if it is written in the Puraanas.The Pundits find not the time, even though it be mentioned in the Puran's texts.The pandits did not find the hour, or there would be a writing in the Puranas.Aunque uno dedicara la vida entera Definirlo, nunca terminaría de hacerlo.

ਵਖਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਕਾਦੀਆ ਜਿ ਲਿਖਨਿ ਲੇਖੁ ਕੁਰਾਣੁ ॥Vakhat na paaio kaadiaa je likhan lekh kuraan.That time is not known to the Qazis, who study the Koran.Nor do the Qazis, who scribe the writing of Quran, Know the time.The qazis did not find the time, they who write out the Quran's text.Oh, dice Nanak, llámalo Grandioso, Él Mismo conoce Su Ser. (22)

ਥਿਤਿ ਵਾਰੁ ਨਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਾਣੈ ਰੁਤਿ ਮਾਹੁ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ॥Thit vaar na jogi jaanai rut maahu naa koi.The day and the date are not known to the Yogis, nor is the month or the season.Neither the yogi nor any one else knows the lunar day, week day season and the month.No yogi knows the lunar day or weekday; no one the season or the month.Aquéllos que cantan Su Alabanza, no saben lo Grande que es Él.

ਜਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਿਰਠੀ ਕਉ ਸਾਜੇ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਸੋਈ ॥Ja karta sirthi kau saaje aape jaanai soi.The Creator who created this creation-only He Himself knows.The Creator who creates the world, He Himself Knows (the time).The creator who fashions the creation — he himself knows.Así como los ríos fluyen sin saber el tamaño del mar.

ਕਿਵ ਕਰਿ ਆਖਾ ਕਿਵ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਕਿਉ ਵਰਨੀ ਕਿਵ ਜਾਣਾ ॥Kiv kar aakha kiv saalahi kio varni kiv jaanaa.How can we speak of Him? How can we praise Him? How can we describe Him? How can we know Him?How to express, how to praise, how to describe and how to know Thee, O Lord?How shall I speak of him, how praise, how describe, how know?De la misma manera, El hombre de mucha riqueza y vasta fortuna,

ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਣਿ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਆਖੈ ਇਕ ਦੂ ਇਕੁ ਸਿਆਣਾ ॥Nanak aakhan sabh ko aakhai ik doo ik sianaa.O Nanak, everyone speaks of Him, each one wiser than the rest.Nanak! All describe Thy discourse and each is wiser then the other.Nanak, everyone speaks the speaking — each one cleverer than the next.no puede igualarse a una hormiga que nunca olvida a su Creador. (23)

ਵਡਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਵਡੀ ਨਾਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਹੋਵੈ ॥Vada sahib vadi naai keeta jaa ka hovai.Great is the Master, Great is His Name. Whatever happens is according to His Will.Great is the Master and great His Name and what he does, comes to pass.Great is the master, great the Name — whatever happens is his doing.Infinita es Su Alabanza e Infinitos son los que la cantan.

ਨਾਨਕ ਜੇ ਕੋ ਆਪੌ ਜਾਣੈ ਅਗੈ ਗਇਆ ਨ ਸੋਹੈ ॥੨੧॥Nanak je ko aapau jaanai agai gaiya na sohai. ||21||O Nanak, one who claims to know everything shall not be decorated in the world hereafter. ||21||Nanak! if someone deems himself potent to do, He shall not look adorned on his arrival in the world hereafter.Nanak, if anyone claims it of himself, he will not shine on arriving ahead.Infinitas son Sus Obras e Infinitas Sus Maneras. ਪਾਤਾਲਾ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਲਖ ਆਗਾਸਾ ਆਗਾਸ ॥Paataala paataal lakh aagasa aagaas.There are nether worlds beneath nether worlds, and hundreds of thousands of heavenly worlds above.There are nether worlds beyond the nether worlds and lacs of skies over skies.Underworlds under underworlds — a hundred thousand — and skies upon skies.Infinitos son los sonidos y las visiones.

ਓੜਕ ਓੜਕ ਭਾਲਿ ਥਕੇ ਵੇਦ ਕਹਨਿ ਇਕ ਵਾਤ ॥Orhak orhak bhaal thake ved kahan ik vaat.The Vedas say that you can search and search for them all, until you grow weary.The scriptures say one thing: searching for God's limits and bounds, (without success) people have grown weary.Searching the ends, the far ends, they grew weary — the Vedas say one thing.Infinitos los Misterios de Su Voluntad.

ਸਹਸ ਅਠਾਰਹ ਕਹਨਿ ਕਤੇਬਾ ਅਸੁਲੂ ਇਕੁ ਧਾਤੁ ॥Sehas atharah kahan kateba asuloo ik dhaat.The scriptures say that there are 18,000 worlds, but in reality, there is only One Universe.The Semitic scriptures say that there are eighteen thousand worlds, but in reality there is only one essence; that the Lord is limitless.The Books say eighteen thousand — at root, one substance.Infinita es la creación, Infinita su expansión.

ਲੇਖਾ ਹੋਇ ਤ ਲਿਖੀਐ ਲੇਖੈ ਹੋਇ ਵਿਣਾਸੁ ॥Lekha hoi ta likhiyai lekhai hoi vinaas.If you try to write an account of this, you will surely finish yourself before you finish writing it.If there be any account of His creation, then man would finish while writing.If an account could be, it would be written — in the accounting comes ruin.Sus limites tangibles e intangibles no pueden ser medidos.

ਨਾਨਕ ਵਡਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪੁ ॥੨੨॥Nanak vada aakhiyai aape jaanai aap. ||22||O Nanak, call Him Great! He Himself knows Himself. ||22||O Nanak! Call Him great. He Himself knows His Own-self.Nanak, he is called great — he himself knows himself.Infinito será nuestro esfuerzo para encontrar Su Límite,

ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਹਿ ਏਤੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਆ ॥Saalaahi saalaahi eti surat na paaiya.The praisers praise the Lord, but they do not obtain intuitive understandingThe praisers praise the Lord, but they obtain not this understandingThey praise the praiseworthy without attaining awareness of him —Pero sus poderes no tienen limites.

ਨਦੀਆ ਅਤੈ ਵਾਹ ਪਵਹਿ ਸਮੁੰਦਿ ਨ ਜਾਣੀਅਹਿ ॥Nadia atai vaah pavahi samund na jaaniyahi.the streams and rivers flowing into the ocean do not know its vastness.that they may know His greatness; as the steams and the rivers falling into the ocean understand not its extent.rivers and streams fall into the sea and are not known again.Nadie conoce de sus limites.

ਸਮੁੰਦ ਸਾਹ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਗਿਰਹਾ ਸੇਤੀ ਮਾਲੁ ਧਨੁ ॥Samund saah sultaan girha seti maal dhan.Even kings and emperors, with mountains of property and oceans of wealthWealthy Kings and emperors with oceans and mountains of property and wealthKings, sultans, with oceans of goods and mountains of wealth —Mientras más tenga uno que decir, más habrá que decir.

ਕੀੜੀ ਤੁਲਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਨੀ ਜੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਨਹੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰਹਿ ॥੨੩॥Keerhi tul na hovni je tis manhu na veesarahi. ||23||-these are not even equal to an ant, who does not forget God. ||23||equal not this ant who forgets not the true Lord.are not equal to an ant in whose mind he is not forgotten.Exaltado es el Creador de todo el Juego; más allá de nuestra imaginación está Su Inmensidad.

ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਸਿਫਤੀ ਕਹਣਿ ਨ ਅੰਤੁ ॥Ant na siphti kahan na ant.Endless are His Praises, endless are those who speak them.There is no limit to the Lord's praises and to those who describe.No end to the praises, to the saying no end.Uno debe ser tan grande como Él para entender Su Grandeza.

ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਕਰਣੈ ਦੇਣਿ ਨ ਅੰਤੁ ॥Ant na karnai den na ant.Endless are His Actions, endless are His Gifts.Limitless are His workings and limitless His givings.No end to the doing, to the giving no end.Mientras más tenga uno que decir, más habrá que decir. Exaltado es el Creador de todo el Juego;

ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਵੇਖਣਿ ਸੁਣਣਿ ਨ ਅੰਤੁ ॥Ant na vekhan sunan na ant.Endless is His Vision, endless is His Hearing.There is no limit to watching and hearing His virtues.No end to the seeing, to the hearing no end.más allá de nuestra imaginación está Su Inmensidad.

ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਪੈ ਕਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਮੰਤੁ ॥Ant na jaapai kia man mant.His limits cannot be perceived. What is the Mystery of His Mind?What is Lord's motive? It's limit is not known.No end can be seen — what counsel is in the mind?Uno debe ser tan grande como Él para entender Su Grandeza.

ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਪੈ ਕੀਤਾ ਆਕਾਰੁ ॥Ant na jaapai keeta aakaar.The limits of the created universe cannot be perceived.The limit of His created creation is not discerned.No end can be seen to the form that was made.Oh, dice Nanak, sólo por Su Gracia el hombre puede elevarse tanto, y ahí se realiza la Unión con Él. (24)

ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਪੈ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੁ ॥Ant na jaapai paaraavaar.Its limits here and beyond cannot be perceived.The bound of His this and yonder end is not known.No end can be seen, no shore on either side.Sus Bendiciones son tan abundantes que la descripción de Su Maravillosa Misericordia es imposible de lograr.

ਅੰਤ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਬਿਲਲਾਹਿ ॥Ant kaaran kete bilalaahi.Many struggle to know His limits,Good many bewail for knowing His boundsFor the end's sake, how many cry aloud.Él, el Dador da todo; para Él no guarda nada.

ਤਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤ ਨ ਪਾਏ ਜਾਹਿ ॥Ta ke ant na paae jaahi.but His limits cannot be found.but His limits are not found.His ends cannot be found.Muchos son los guerreros que tocan a Su Puerta; imposibles de contar los que se acercan a Él.

ਏਹੁ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਕੋਇ ॥Eh ant na jaanai koi.No one can know these limits.This limit none can know.This end no one knows.Muchos son los guerreros que tocan a Su Puerta;

ਬਹੁਤਾ ਕਹੀਐ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਹੋਇ ॥Bahuta kahiyai bahuta hoi.The more you say about them, the more there still remains to be said.The more we describe, the more obscure He becomes.The more is said, the more there is.imposibles de contar los que se acercan a Él.

ਵਡਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਊਚਾ ਥਾਉ ॥Vada sahib oochaa thaau.Great is the Master, High is His Heavenly Home.Great is the Lord and high his seat.The master is great, the place high.muchos reciben Su Favor, y gozando de éste se olvidan de su Creador.

ਊਚੇ ਉਪਰਿ ਊਚਾ ਨਾਉ ॥Oochai upar oochaa naau.Highest of the High, above all is His Name.His Name is the higher than the high.Above the high, higher still the Name.Tantos consumidores tontos se dedican a consumir.

ਏਵਡੁ ਊਚਾ ਹੋਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥Evad oochaa hovai koi.Only one as Great and as High as GodIf any one be as great and high as He isOnly if someone were that highMuchos son los que sufren tensión y privación y constante abuso;

ਤਿਸੁ ਊਚੇ ਕਉ ਜਾਣੈ ਸੋਇ ॥Tis oochai kau jaanai soi.can know His Lofty and Exalted State.then alone he would know that Lofty Being.would he know that high one.aun estas también son Tus Bendiciones, oh Ser Bondadoso.

ਜੇਵਡੁ ਆਪਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਿ ॥Jeva aap jaanai aap aap.Only He Himself is that Great. He Himself knows Himself.How great He is, only He Himself knows.How great he is — he himself, only himself, knows.Es por Tu Voluntad que las amarras son cortadas para que el hombre sea liberado.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਕਰਮੀ ਦਾਤਿ ॥੨੪॥Nanak nadari karmi daat. ||24||O Nanak, by His Glance of Grace, He bestows His Blessings. ||24||O Nanak! the compassionate Lord by His grace bestows gifts.Nanak, the gift is by glance, by mercy.Tus Maneras son conocidas solamente por Ti

ਬਹੁਤਾ ਕਰਮੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਇ ॥Bahuta karam likhia na jaae.His Blessings are so abundant that there can be no written account of them.Good many are His bounties, these cannot be recorded.The mercy is so great it cannot be written.y si el hombre osara decir que las entiende,

ਵਡਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਤਮਾਇ ॥Vada daata til na tamaae.The Great Giver does not hold back anything.He is the great Giver and has not even an iota of avarice.The giver is great, with not a sesame seed of greed.seguramente después tendría que reconocer su tontería.

ਕੇਤੇ ਮੰਗਹਿ ਜੋਧ ਅਪਾਰ ॥Kete mangahi jodh apaar.There are so many great, heroic warriors begging at the Door of the Infinite Lord.The multitudes of warriors beg from the Infinite Lord.How many beg — warriors without limit.Él Mismo conoce y Él Mismo da.

ਕੇਤਿਆ ਗਣਤ ਨਹੀ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥Ketiaa ganat nahi veechaar.So many contemplate and dwell upon Him, that they cannot be counted.Good many beyond reckoning, ponder over Him.How many more — beyond count, beyond reflection.Pero pocos, muy pocos son los que saben esto.

ਕੇਤੇ ਖਪਿ ਤੁਟਹਿ ਵੇਕਾਰ ॥Kete khap tutahi vekaar.So many waste away to death engaged in corruption.Many pine away to extinction in wickedness.How many waste away and break in vice.Oh, dice Nanak, aquél a quien Dios ha otorgado el Don de Alabarlo,

ਕੇਤੇ ਲੈ ਲੈ ਮੁਕਰੁ ਪਾਹਿ ॥Kete lai lai mukar paahi.So many take and take again, and then deny receiving.Some continually take gifts and yet deny them.How many take and take, and then deny.es rey entre los reyes. (25)

ਕੇਤੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਖਾਹੀ ਖਾਹਿ ॥Kete moorakh khaahi khaahi.So many foolish consumers keep on consuming.Many foolish devourers continue devouring.How many fools eat and eat.Incalculables son Tus Virtudes y el comercio Contigo;

ਕੇਤਿਆ ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਸਦ ਮਾਰ ॥Ketiaa dookh bhookh sad maar.So many endure distress, deprivation and constant abuse.Good many endure distress hunger and perpetual chastisement.How many get pain, hunger, endless blows —Incalculables son Tus Compradores , Incalculables tus tesoros.

ਏਹਿ ਭਿ ਦਾਤਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਤਾਰ ॥Eh bhi daat teri daataar.Even these are Your Gifts, O Great Giver!Even these are Thine gifts, O Bestower!even these are your gift, giver.Valor incalculable tienen los que se acercan a ti, incalculable valor el que pide tu ayuda.

ਬੰਦਿ ਖਲਾਸੀ ਭਾਣੈ ਹੋਇ ॥Band khalaasi bhaanai hoi.Liberation from bondage comes only by Your Will.Liberation from bondage is effected by God's will.Release from bondage comes as it pleases.Incalculable es Tu Amor y la Unión Contigo;

ਹੋਰੁ ਆਖਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਕੋਇ ॥Hor aakh na sakai koi.No one else has any say in this.No one else has any say in it.No one else can say a thing.Incalculables son Tus Favores y Tu Dote. Incalculable es Tu Ley y la Justicia Suprema;

ਜੇ ਕੋ ਖਾਇਕੁ ਆਖਣਿ ਪਾਇ ॥Je ko khaaik aakhan paai.If some fool should presume to say that he does,If any fool dare interveneIf some babbler sets out to speak,Incalculable es tu balanza y de incalculable valor tus pesos.

ਓਹੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਜੇਤੀਆ ਮੁਹਿ ਖਾਇ ॥Oh jaanai jeti muhi khaai.he shall learn, and feel the effects of his folly.he shall know how many lashes he receives on his face.he will learn how many he takes in the face.incontables tus misericordias, e incalculable tu Escudo e Insignia.

ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ॥Aape jaanai aape dei.He Himself knows, He Himself gives.The Lord Himself knows everything and Himself gives.He himself knows, he himself gives.Perfecto es Tu Comando y Tu Bondad.

ਆਖਹਿ ਸਿ ਭਿ ਕੇਈ ਕੇਇ ॥Aakhahi se bhi keii kei.Few, very few are those who acknowledge this.Again few are those who acknowledge God's gifts.Yet even this only a few will say.Incontable, Incalculable mas haya de lo que podemos expresar.

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਬਖਸੇ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਸਾਲਾਹ ॥Jis no bakhse siphat saalaah.One who is blessed to sing the Praises of the Lord,Anyone whom the Lord grants wisdom to praise and eulogize Him,He to whom praise and praising are granted —Muchos son los que alaban Tu Nombre.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ॥੨੫॥Nanak paatishaahi paatishaahu. ||25||O Nanak, is the king of kings. ||25||O Nanak! he is the (spiritual) king of kings.Nanak — is the emperor of emperors.En Alabanza del Nombre algunos recitan los Vedas, otros los Puranas,

ਅਮੁਲ ਗੁਣ ਅਮੁਲ ਵਾਪਾਰ ॥Amul gun amul vaapaar.Priceless are His Virtues, Priceless are His Dealings.Priceless are Thine merits, O Lord! and priceless Thy dealings.Priceless the virtues, priceless the tradings.mientras que los escolares Lo proclaman en largos discursos.

ਅਮੁਲ ਵਾਪਾਰੀਏ ਅਮੁਲ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥Amul vaapaariye amul bhandaar.Priceless are His Dealers, Priceless are His Treasures.Priceless are Thine dealers and priceless Thy treasures.Priceless the traders, priceless the storehouses.Tus Himnos son cantados por Indra y Brahma,

ਅਮੁਲ ਆਵਹਿ ਅਮੁਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਹਿ ॥Amul aavahi amul lai jaahi.Priceless are those who come to Him, Priceless are those who buy from Him.Priceless are they who come to Thee and priceless they who purchase and fetch goods from Thee.Priceless those who come, priceless those who take away.por las Gopis y Krishna;

ਅਮੁਲ ਭਾਇ ਅਮੁਲਾ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥Amul bhaai amula samaahi.Priceless is Love for Him, Priceless is absorption into Him.Priceless is Thy affection and priceless the absorption in Thee.Priceless those who come in love, priceless those absorbed.Tu Nombre es recitado por Shiva, los Siddhas

ਅਮੁਲੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਅਮੁਲੁ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥Amul dharam amul deebaan.Priceless is the Divine Law of Dharma, Priceless is the Divine Court of Justice.Priceless is Thy Divine law and priceless Thy Court.Priceless the dharam, priceless the tribunal.y los Budas también.

ਅਮੁਲੁ ਤੁਲੁ ਅਮੁਲੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥Amul tul amul parvaan.Priceless are the scales, priceless are the weights.Priceless are Thy scales and priceless Thine weights.Priceless the scales, priceless the measuring weight.Los dioses y los seres malignos, los semidioses,

ਅਮੁਲੁ ਬਖਸੀਸ ਅਮੁਲੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥Amul bakhsees amul neesaan.Priceless are His Blessings, Priceless is His Banner and Insignia.Priceless are Thine gifts and priceless Thy mark of approval.Priceless the gift, priceless the sign.los hombres, los mutantes y esclavos, todos son una Alabanza a Ti.

ਅਮੁਲੁ ਕਰਮੁ ਅਮੁਲੁ ਫੁਰਮਾਣੁ ॥Amul karam amul furmaan.Priceless is His Mercy, Priceless is His Royal Command.Priceless are Thy benevolence and priceless Thy order.Priceless the mercy, priceless the decree.Millones y millones tratan de Describirte;

ਅਮੁਲੋ ਅਮੁਲੁ ਆਖਿਆ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥Amulo amul aakhia na jaai.Priceless, O Priceless beyond expression!Beyond price and invaluable, the Lord cannot be expressed.Priceless beyond price — it cannot be said.millones han hecho descripciones de Ti y han partido de esta tierra.

ਆਖਿ ਆਖਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥Aakh aakh rahe liv laai.Speak of Him continually, and remain absorbed in His Love.By continually speaking of Thee, I remain absorbed in Thy love.Saying and saying, they stay fixed in absorption.Solamente para Describirte millones más esperan tu nacimiento,

ਆਖਹਿ ਵੇਦ ਪਾਠ ਪੁਰਾਣ ॥Aakhahi ved paath puraan.The Vedas and the Puraanas speak.The reciters of the Vedas and the Puranas Proclaim Thee.The Vedas and the Purana readings speak.y aun asi son incapaces de describirte.

ਆਖਹਿ ਪੜੇ ਕਰਹਿ ਵਖਿਆਣ ॥Aakhahi parhe karahi vakhiaan.The scholars speak and lecture.The literate repeat Thy Name and deliver discourses apropos Thee.The learned speak and give discourses.Tu Grandeza es conocida sólo por Ti.

ਆਖਹਿ ਬਰਮੇ ਆਖਹਿ ਇੰਦ ॥Aakhahi barme aakhahi ind.Brahma speaks, Indra speaks.Brahmas speak of Thee and Indras speak of Thee as well.Brahmas speak, Indras speak.Oh, dice Nanak, el Verdadero Señor sabe

ਆਖਹਿ ਗੋਪੀ ਤੈ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ॥Aakhahi gopi tai govind.The Gopis and Krishna speak.The milk-maids and Krishna speak of Thee.Gopis speak, and Govind.y si alguien presumiera y dijera que Lo conoce,

ਆਖਹਿ ਈਸਰ ਆਖਹਿ ਸਿਧ ॥Aakhahi eesar aakhahi sidh.Shiva speaks, the Siddhas speak.The Shiva speak of Thee and the miracle-mongers speak of Thee as well.Shivas speak, siddhas speak.sería el más grande tonto. (26)

ਗਾਵਨਿ ਰਤਨ ਉਪਾਏ ਤੇਰੇ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਨਾਲੇ ॥Gaavan ratan upaae tere athsath teerath naale.The celestial jewels created by You, and the sixty-eight holy places of pilgrimage sing.The fourteen invaluable objects created by Thee, with sixty-eight places of pilgrimage, hymn Thee.The jewels you made sing, with the sixty-eight pilgrim-places.Oh Yogui, valora más en tu mente el Contentamiento que la castidad, más la Modestia que el rechazo de los bienes mundanos y, en vez de abnegarte en Nombre de la religión, ponte a meditar.

ਗਾਵਹਿ ਜੋਧ ਮਹਾਬਲ ਸੂਰਾ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਖਾਣੀ ਚਾਰੇ ॥Gaavahi jodh mahabal soora gaavahi khaani chaare.The brave and mighty warriors sing; the spiritual heroes and the four sources of creation sing.The supremely mighty warriors and Divine heroes sing Thee and four sources of creation magnify Thee.Warriors of great might sing, and heroes; the four sources of birth sing.Deja que tu camino escogido sea una vida de Pureza, con la Fe en Dios como tu único bastón.

ਗਾਵਹਿ ਖੰਡ ਮੰਡਲ ਵਰਭੰਡਾ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਰਖੇ ਧਾਰੇ ॥Gaavahi khand mandal varbhanda kar kar rakhe dhaare.The planets, solar systems and galaxies, created and arranged by Your Hand, sing.The continents, worlds and solar systems, created and installed by Thy hand, chant Thine glories.The regions sing, the spheres, the universes, made and made and held in place.Únete a la práctica más elevada, a la Kjalsa, la Hermandad de la humanidad, y conquista tu propio ser en vez de tratar de dominar a los demás.

ਸੇਈ ਤੁਧੁਨੋ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵਨਿ ਰਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਰਸਾਲੇ ॥Sei tudh no gaavahi jo tudh bhaavan rate tere bhagat rasaale.They alone sing, who are pleasing to Your Will. Your devotees are imbued with the Nectar of Your Essence.Thy saints who are pleasing to Thee and are steeped in Name (the home of Nectar), they alone eulogise Thee.Those sing to you who please you — your devoted, dyed in you, steeped in the taste.Me postro siempre y solamente ante el Señor,

ਹੋਰਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਗਾਵਨਿ ਸੇ ਮੈ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਨਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਕਿਆ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥Hor kete gaavan se mai chit na aavan Nanak kia veechaare.So many others sing, they do not come to mind. O Nanak, how can I consider them all?Many others, whom I cannot recollect within my mind, sing Thee. How can Nanak think of them?How many more sing that do not come to my mind — what can Nanak reflect?el Ser Primordial, Puro, sin Principio, sin Fin; Quien prevalece a través de todas las épocas. ਹੈ ਭੀ ਹੋਸੀ ਜਾਇ ਨ ਜਾਸੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਚਾਈ ॥Hai bhi hosi jaae na jaasi rachna jin rachaai.He is, and shall always be. He shall not depart, even when this Universe which He has created departs.He, who created the creation is and shall also be. He shall not depart when the creation shall depart (disappear).He is, and he will be; he does not leave and will not leave — he who made the making.El Supremo Señor es dueño de la creación y la Perfección; el Supremo Señor rige a los Yoguis y a los seres perfeccionados. ਰੰਗੀ ਰੰਗੀ ਭਾਤੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਉਪਾਈ ॥Rangi rangi bhaati kar kar jinsi maaiya jin upaai.He created the world, with its various colors, species of beings, and the variety of Maya.God, who fashioned the world, has by diverse contrivances created the creation of various colours and Kinds.Color on color, kind on kind — he who brought forth maya in its species.Él es quien nos acerca o nos aleja de Sí Mismo, regulando el comercio del mundo y determinando el Destino de los hombres.

ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਕੀਤਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਿਵ ਤਿਸ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥Kar kar vekhai keeta apnaa jiv tis di vadiaai.Having created the creation, He watches over it Himself, by His Greatness.Having created the creation, He as it pleases His Honour, beholds His handiwork.Making and making, he watches his own making — as is his greatness.Postro mi ser siempre y para siempre ante ese Señor,

ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਸੀ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਕਰਣਾ ਜਾਈ ॥Jo tis bhaavai soi karsi hukam na karna jaai.He does whatever He pleases. No order can be issued to Him.Whatever pleases Him, He does that. No one can issue an order to Him.What pleases him he will do; no hukam can be laid on him.Primordial, Puro, sin Principio, sin Fin; a través de las épocas, Él prevalece en todo. (29)

ਸੋ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਸਾਹਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਹਣੁ ਰਜਾਈ ॥੨੭॥So paatishaahu saaha paatishaahib Nanak rahan rajaai. ||27||He is the King, the King of kings, the Supreme Lord and Master of kings. ਮੁੰਦਾ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਸਰਮੁ ਪਤੁ ਝੋਲੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੀ ਕਰਹਿ ਬਿਭੂਤਿ ॥Munda santokh saram pat jholi dhian ki karahi bibhoot.Make contentment your ear-rings, humility your begging bowl, and meditation the ashes you apply to your body.Make contentment thy ear-rings, modesty thy begging bowl and wellect and the Lord's meditation thy ashes.Make contentment the earrings, labor the bowl and pouch, meditation the ashes.quien en unión con Dios, dio nacimiento a las tres deidades, Brahma, el creador, Vishnú, el sostenedor y Shiva, el destructor.

ਖਿੰਥਾ ਕਾਲੁ ਕੁਆਰੀ ਕਾਇਆ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਡੰਡਾ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ॥Khintha kaal kuaari kaaiya jugat danda parteet.Let the remembrance of death be the patched coat you wear, let the purity of virginity be your way in the world, and let faith in the Lord be your walking stick.Let thought of death be thy patched coat, chastity like that of virgin's body, thy life's department and faith in God thy staff.Make death the patched coat, a chaste body the way, faith the staff.Pero no, Dios comprende en Sí Mismo todo lo demás y Él hace danzar a estos tres como Le place.

ਆਈ ਪੰਥੀ ਸਗਲ ਜਮਾਤੀ ਮਨਿ ਜੀਤੈ ਜਗੁ ਜੀਤੁ ॥Aai panthi sagal jamaati man jeetai jag jeet.See the brotherhood of all mankind as the highest order of Yogis; conquer your own mind, and conquer the world.Make the brother hood with all, the highest sect of yogic order and deem the conquering of self the conquest of the world.Make fellowship with all the Aai panth — the mind conquered is the world conquered.A todos los ve, pero nadie lo ve a Él, mientras tanto todos participan de Su Maravilloso Juego.

ਭੁਗਤਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਦਇਆ ਭੰਡਾਰਣਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਵਾਜਹਿ ਨਾਦ ॥Bhugat gian daiya bhandaaran ghat ghat vaajeh naad.Let spiritual wisdom be your food, and compassion your attendant. The Sound-current of the Naad vibrates in each and every heart.Make Divine Knowledge thy food and mercy thy steward and listen to the Divine music that beats in every heart.Make knowledge the food, compassion the storekeeper — the sound rings in every single body.El Bello Señor está en todas partes,

ਆਪਿ ਨਾਥੁ ਨਾਥੀ ਸਭ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਰਿਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਅਵਰਾ ਸਾਦ ॥Aap naath naathi sabh ja ki ridh sidh avraa saad.He Himself is the Supreme Master of all; wealth and miraculous spiritual powers, and all other external tastes and pleasures, are all like beads on a string.He Himself is supreme Lord who has snaffled all. Riches and miracles are extraneous relishes not liked by saints.He himself is the nath, all is ringed to him; riches and powers are other tastes.en todas partes está Su Sitio, en todas partes se realiza Su Comercio.

ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ਵਿਜੋਗੁ ਦੁਇ ਕਾਰ ਚਲਾਵਹਿ ਲੇਖੇ ਆਵਹਿ ਭਾਗ ॥Sanjog vijog due kaar chalaaveh lekhe aaveh bhaag.Union with Him, and separation from Him, come by His Will. We come to receive what is written in our destiny.Union and separation both regulate the world's business and by destiny man obtains his share.Joining and parting together drive the work; shares come by the account.Habiendo creado la creación, el Creador la disfruta.

ਇਕੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਇਕੁ ਭੰਡਾਰੀ ਇਕੁ ਲਾਏ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥Ik sansaari ik bhandaari ik laae deebaan.One, the Creator of the World; One, the Sustainer; and One, the Destroyer.One the world's creator (Brahma), one steward who gives sustenance (Vishnu) and one who has the disposition of destroying (Shiva).one the maker of the world, one the keeper of the store, one who holds the tribunal.Si mi lengua se multiplicara por cien mil y si esas cien mil se multiplicaran por veinte más,

ਜਿਵ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਚਲਾਵੈ ਜਿਵ ਹੋਵੈ ਫੁਰਮਾਣੁ ॥Jiv tis bhaavai tivai chalaavai jiv hovai furmaan.He makes things happen according to the Pleasure of His Will. Such is His Celestial Order.As it pleases Him and as is His order, He makes them walk.As it pleases him, so he runs them — just as the decree stands.con cada una repetiría el Nombre de Dios, del Señor del Universo.

ਓਹੁ ਵੇਖੈ ਓਨਾ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਏਹੁ ਵਿਡਾਣੁ ॥Oh vekhai onaa nadar na aavai bahuta eh vidaan.He watches over all, but none see Him. How wonderful this is!He beholds them but they see Him not. ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਜੁਗਤੀ ਛੁਟੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥Jor na jugti chhutai sansaar.No power to find the way to escape from the world.I have no power to find the way to escape from the world.No force in the way of escaping the world.Los que lucen la Verdad son aprobados y señalados.

ਜਿਸੁ ਹਥਿ ਜੋਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਸੋਇ ॥Jis hath jor kar vekhai soi.He alone has the Power in His Hands. He watches over all.He, in whose hand the power is, exercises and beholds it.He in whose hand the force lies — he does and he watches.Cuando sus mentes estén ungidas con la señal de Su Gracia, los falsos o verdaderos serán claramente reconocidos.

ਤਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਜੀਅ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਕੇ ਰੰਗ ॥Tis vich jee jugat ke rang.Upon it, He placed the various species of beings.There-in He placed beings of various types and colours.In it live beings of many ways and colors —los Krishnas y los Brahmas, dando forma a muchos mundos con todo tipo de géneros, tamaños, colores y tonos.

ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਨੇਕ ਅਨੰਤ ॥Tin ke naam anek anant.Their names are uncounted and endless.Various and endless are their names.their names are many, without end.Tantos espacios y tierras para trabajar el Karma, tantas lecciones que aprender

ਕਰਮੀ ਕਰਮੀ ਹੋਇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥Karmi karmi hoi veechaar.By their deeds and their actions, they shall be judged.They are judged according to their deeds and actions.Action by action, the reflection is made.Tantos Indras, tantas lunas y soles, tantos mundos y tierras.

ਨਦਰੀ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਵੈ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥Nadari karam pavai neesaan.They receive the Mark of Grace from the Merciful Lord.and they come to bear the mark of the grace of the merciful Master.By the glance, by mercy, the sign is stamped.Muchas las formas de vida, lenguajes y dinastías de regidores.

ਕਚ ਪਕਾਈ ਓਥੈ ਪਾਇ ॥Kach pakaai othai paai.The ripe and the unripe, the good and the bad, shall there be judged.The bad and the good shall, there, be assayed.Raw or ripened is found out there.Muchos los Devotos de Dios y hombres de Divina Sabiduría. Oh, dice Nanak, Sus Formas no tienen Límite. (35)

ਕੇਤੇ ਪਵਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੈਸੰਤਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਕਾਨ ਮਹੇਸ ॥Kete pavan paani baisantar kete kaan mahesh.So many winds, waters and fires; so many Krishnas and Shivas.Good many are winds, waters, fires and good many Krishanas and Shivas.How many winds, waters, fires; how many Krishnas and Shivas.formas incomparables indescriptibles en Belleza son creadas;

ਕੇਤੇ ਬਰਮੇ ਘਾੜਤਿ ਘੜੀਅਹਿ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਕੇ ਵੇਸ ॥Kete barme ghaarat ghariyahi roop rang ke ves.So many Brahmas, fashioning forms of great beauty, adorned and dressed in many colors.There are many Barhmas, who are fashioning forms, and many beauties, colours and raiments.How many Brahmas are shaped in the shaping — their forms, colors, dress.Estas cosas no pueden ser descritas.

ਕੇਤੀਆ ਕਰਮ ਭੂਮੀ ਮੇਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਧੂ ਉਪਦੇਸ ॥Ketia karam bhoomi mer kete kete dhoo updes.So many worlds and lands for working out karma. So very many lessons to be learned!Numberless are the earths and the mountains for doing virtuous deeds and numberless over numberless Dhrus, the instruction receivers.How many lands of action, how many Merus; how many Dhrus, how many teachings.el que se atreviera a describirlas se arrepentiría.

ਕੇਤੇ ਇੰਦ ਚੰਦ ਸੂਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਮੰਡਲ ਦੇਸ ॥Kete ind chand soor kete kete mandal des.So many Indras, so many moons and suns, so many worlds and lands.Numberless are Indras, the moons the suns, numberless universes and numberless countries.How many Indras, moons, suns; how many spheres and lands.Aquí la mente es iluminada y el entendimiento extendido.

ਕੇਤੇ ਸਿਧ ਬੁਧ ਨਾਥ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਵੇਸ ॥Kete sidh budh naath kete kete devi ves.So many Siddhas and Buddhas, so many Yogic masters. So many goddesses of various kinds.Innumerable there are proficients, Gautamas, great yogis and innumerable over innumerable the forms of goddesses.How many siddhas, buddhas, naths; how many forms of the goddess.La conciencia de los guerreros espirituales, de lo Siddhas y de los seres de perfección espiritual es formada ahí (36)

ਕੇਤੇ ਦੇਵ ਦਾਨਵ ਮੁਨਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਰਤਨ ਸਮੁੰਦ ॥Kete dev daanav mun kete kete ratan samund.So many demi-gods and demons, so many silent sages. So many oceans of jewels.How many deities, demons and silent sages and how many over many oceans and jewels.How many gods and demons, how many sages; how many jewels, how many seas.Pasando ahora al ámbito del Karma,

So many dynasties of rulers.How many the mines of production, languages and many the dynasties of kings (or masters of men).How many sources of birth, how many speeches, how many throned kings of men.la Palabra es el Poder y nadie más habita ahí

ਕੇਤੀਆ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੇਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਅੰਤੁ ॥੩੫॥Ketia surti sevak kete Nanak ant na ant. ||35||So many intuitive people, so many selfless servants. O Nanak, His limit has no limit! ||35||Countless are the men of Divine knowledge and countless the servants of God. ਸਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਰੂਪੁ ॥Saram khand ki baani roop.In the realm of humility, the Word is Beauty.Beauty is the language of the realm of spiritual effort.The speech of the realm of labor is form.su Belleza no puede ser descrita.

ਤਿਥੈ ਘਾੜਤਿ ਘੜੀਐ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ॥Tithai ghaarat gharhiyai bahut anoop.Forms of incomparable beauty are fashioned there.There, an extremely incomparable make, is made.There the shaping is shaped, past all compare.Ni la muerte ni la trampa de la traición

ਤਾ ਕੀਆ ਗਲਾ ਕਥੀਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਹਿ ॥Ta kia galaa kathiya na jaahi.These things cannot be described.The proceedings of that place can not be described.Of that, the talk cannot be told.tienen cabida en la mente de aquéllos que meditan en la Palabra del Señor.

ਜੇ ਕੋ ਕਹੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਪਛੁਤਾਇ ॥Je ko kahai pichhai pachhutaai.One who tries to speak of these shall regret the attempt.If any one endeavors to describe, he shall afterwards repent.If anyone tells it, he regrets it after.Los Devotos de incontables mundos habitan ahí y,

ਤਿਥੈ ਘੜੀਐ ਸੁਰਾ ਸਿਧਾ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ॥੩੬॥Tithai gharhiyai sura sidha ki sudh. ||36||The consciousness of the spiritual warriors and the Siddhas, the beings of spiritual perfection, are shaped there. ||36||There the genius of the pious persons and men of miracles is moulded a new.There is shaped the knowing of the gods and the siddhas.En el Ámbito de la Verdad, el Dios sin Forma habita

ਕਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੋਰੁ ॥Karam khand ki baani jor.In the realm of karma, the Word is Power.There is spiritual force in the language (of the man) of the realm of grace.The speech of the realm of karam is force.y observa Su Creación con la Mirada Bondadosa que otorga Plenitud.

ਤਿਥੈ ਹੋਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰੁ ॥Tithai hor na koi hor.No one else dwells there,(Except those mentioned below) no one else resides in that domain.There no one else exists, no other.Existen mundos, universos y galaxias,

ਤਿਥੈ ਜੋਧ ਮਹਾਬਲ ਸੂਰ ॥Tithai jodh mahaabal soor.except the warriors of great power, the spiritual heroes.The very powerful warriors and heroes dwell there.There are the warriors of great might, the heroes.que no tienen límite ni cuenta;

ਤਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰ ॥Tin mehi raam rahia bharpoor.They are totally fulfilled, imbued with the Lord's Essence.Within them the might of the all pervading Lord remains fully filled.In them Ram remains, filling them full.mundos sobre mundos de creación,

ਤਿਥੈ ਸੀਤੋ ਸੀਤਾ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਮਾਹਿ ॥Tithai sito seeta mahima maahi.Myriads of Sitas are there, cool and calm in their majestic glory.They, who are fully sewn in the Lord's admiration, abide there.There they are sewn, sewn into glory.todos bajo Su Comando.

ਤਾ ਕੇ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਕਥਨੇ ਜਾਹਿ ॥Ta ke roop na kathne jaahi.Their beauty cannot be described.Their beauty cannot be narrated.Their forms cannot be told.El Señor ve y contempla todo, lleno de Dicha.

ਨਾ ਓਹਿ ਮਰਹਿ ਨ ਠਾਗੇ ਜਾਹਿ ॥Na ohi marahi na thaage jaahi.Neither death nor deception comes to those,They, die not and nor are they hood-winked,They neither die nor are they cheated.Oh, dice Nanak, tratar de describir esto es tan duro como el acero. (37)

ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਰਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥Jin kai raam vasai man maahi.within whose minds the Lord abides.in whose hearts God abides.they in whose mind Ram dwells.Que la continencia sea el horno y la paciencia el maestro fundidor;

ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥Kar kar vekhai nadar nihaal.Having created the creation, He watches over it. ਤਿਥੈ ਖੰਡ ਮੰਡਲ ਵਰਭੰਡ ॥Tithai khand mandal varbhand.There are planets, solar systems and galaxies.In that realm there are continents, worlds and solar systems.There are regions, spheres, universes.Tal es el Karma de aquéllos que han sido inspirados para vislumbrar la Incomparable Gracia

ਜੇ ਕੋ ਕਥੈ ਤ ਅੰਤ ਨ ਅੰਤ ॥Je ko kathai ta ant na ant.If one speaks of them, there is no limit, no end.if some one tries to describe them, he should know that there are no limits or bounds of them.If anyone would tell of them — no end, no end.Manifestación de Dios. ਤਿਥੈ ਲੋਅ ਲੋਅ ਆਕਾਰ ॥Tithai loa loa aakaar.There are worlds upon worlds of His Creation.There are universes upon universes and creations over creations.There, world upon world of forms.Shlok.

ਜਿਵ ਜਿਵ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਤਿਵੈ ਤਿਵ ਕਾਰ ॥Jiv jiv hukam tivai tiv kaar.As He commands, so they exist.As is the Master's mandate, so are their functions.As, as the hukam is — so, so the work.El aire es el Guru, el agua el padre, la inmensa tierra la madre de todos.

ਵੇਖੈ ਵਿਗਸੈ ਕਰਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥Vekhai vigsai kar veechaar.He watches over all, and contemplating the creation, He rejoices.The Lord beholds His creation and feels happy by contemplating over it.He watches and blossoms, reflecting on it.El mundo juega en el regazo de las dos niñeras, el día y la noche.

ਭਾਂਡਾ ਭਾਉ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਢਾਲਿ ॥Bhaanda bhaau amrit tit dhaal.In the crucible of love, melt the Nectar of the Name,and love of Lord thy pot, where-in filter the Nectar of God's Name.love the crucible — pour the amrit in it.

ਘੜੀਐ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਚੀ ਟਕਸਾਲ ॥Gharhiyai shabad sachi taksaal.and mint the True Coin of the Shabad, the Word of God.Thus in the true mint the Divine word is fashioned.The Word is shaped in the true mint.

ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਮੁ ਤਿਨ ਕਾਰ ॥Jin kau nadar karam tin kaar.Such is the karma of those upon whom He has cast His Glance of Grace.This is the daily routine of those on whom God casts His gracious glance.This is the work of those who have the glance, the mercy.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੩੮॥Nanak nadari nadar nihaal. ||38||O Nanak, the Merciful Lord, by His Grace, uplifts and exalts them. ||38||O Nanak! the Merciful Master, with his kind look, makes them happy.Nanak, by the glance of the glancing one — gladness.

ਪਵਣੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਧਰਤਿ ਮਹਤੁ ॥Pavan guru paani pita maata dharat mahat.Air is the Guru, Water is the Father, and Earth is the Great Mother of all.Air is the Guru, water the Father, earth the great Mother,Wind is the Guru, water the father, earth the great mother.

ਦਿਵਸੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਦੁਇ ਦਾਈ ਦਾਇਆ ਖੇਲੈ ਸਗਲ ਜਗਤੁ ॥Divas raat dui daai daiya khelai sagal jagat.Day and night are each like the nanny and her caregiving husband, in whose lap the whole world is at play.Day and night are the two nurses, in whose lap all the world is at play.and day and night the two female and male nurses, in whose lap the entire world plays.Day and night are the two nurses in whose lap the whole world plays.

ਚੰਗਿਆਈਆ ਬੁਰਿਆਈਆ ਵਾਚੈ ਧਰਮੁ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥Changiaaiya buriaaiya vaachai dharam hadoor.Good deeds and bad deeds-the record is read out in the Presence of the Lord of Dharma.The merits and demerits shall be read in the presence of Righteous Judge.Good deeds and bad — Dharam reads them in the presence.

ਕਰਮੀ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੇ ਨੇੜੈ ਕੇ ਦੂਰਿ ॥Karmi aapo aapni ke nere ke door.According to their own actions, some are drawn closer, and some are driven farther away.According to their respective deeds, some shall be near and some distant from the Lord.By their own actions some are near and some far.

ਜਿਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਗਏ ਮਸਕਤਿ ਘਾਲਿ ॥Jini naam dhiaaiya ge masakat ghaal.Those who have meditated on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and departed after having worked by the sweat of their browsWho have pondered on His name, and have departed after putting in toil;Those who meditated on the Name have gone with their labor done.

ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਕੇਤੀ ਛੁਟੀ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੧॥Nanak te mukh ujle keti chhuti naal. ||1||-O Nanak, their faces are radiant in the Court of the Lord, and many are saved along with them! ||1||O Nanak! their faces shall be bright and many shall be emancipated along with them.Nanak, those faces are bright — and how many are set free with them.
